Keep Dancing

From Quickstep to Catherine Waltz, dance fever is sweeping the nation, fuelled by TV shows such as Strictly Come Dancing.

Regular dancing is great for losing weight, maintaining strong bones, improving posture and muscle strength, increasing balance and coordination and beating stress.

One of the best things about dancing is that while you are having fun moving to music and meeting new people, you are getting all the benefits of a good work out.

You do not have to be a trained dancer to join in. Sequence dancing as its name suggests is a sequence of steps that are repeated several times during the dance. You can get behind dancers and follow the steps and there is always someone willing to help.

Here in Houghton Regis, a Tea Dance is held every Monday Afternoon in the Memorial Hall. Come and join us have a good workout a cup of tea and lots of fun.
