Mayor's Thanks For Civic Reception


Mayor's Civic Reception 2015 held at St Vincent's Social, Hammersmith Gardens


The Mayor Of Houghton Regis, Cllr Rob Shimmin, has put on record his thanks to people who attended his reception last night, Friday.

Mayor Rob, wrote to his Mayoral Facebook Page, "It was so nice seeing so many of the chain gang (mayors and deputies), present and past councillors too, all the guests including my neighbours and of course my three charities and my parent's who made the long drive from Plymouth, and the wonderful help from Sarah and Chantel from the Town Council for dressing the venue. Thank you everyone for making this an evening to remember."

Cllr Shimmin, as Mayor of Houghton Regis for the year is raising funds for The Luton and Dunstable Hospital, Children’s Ward, Dunstable and District Disabled Sports (DADDS), and All Saints Parish Church.

Public Exhibitions have been announced to inform you about plans to redevelop the L&D Hospital.

These informal opportunities will give you a chance to discuss the plans, and give invaluable feedback.
